Drug & Alcohol Residential Programs
WHAT ARE THEY?
Surrounded by sunshine
Getting sober on your own can be extremely difficult, especially if you are physically dependent on one or more substances. Leaving your home is never easy, especially when you’re in a vulnerable state. But enrolling in a residential treatment program can dramatically improve your chances of a better life and brighter future.
Residential programs are designed to provide round-the-clock care for people in the beginning stages of their recovery journey. While inpatient drug and alcohol rehab is focused primarily on medical stabilization in the very early stages of recovery, residential treatment lasts longer (up to 6 months or more) and focuses more on helping clients develop critical life skills for long-term drug rehab.
BriteLife Recovery does everything possible to create a warm, welcoming, and comfortable environment for clients at our Hilton Head residential treatment center. You’ll enjoy a private or semi-private room with luxury accommodations and resort-style amenities, including upscale dining halls, pristine grounds with swimming pools and lake access, and sun-filled beach trips in the Hilton Head area. We will assign you a client liaison to help ensure you have a smooth, stress-free, and enjoyable stay. BriteLife understands that clients must feel comfortable and relaxed in order to succeed in recovery. It’s why your comfort is our priority.

Why it’s important
A critical step in your recovery
From the time a client calls or emails our staff to the moment they walk out our door, they will receive unmatched care from professionals who not only understand recovery, but who have lived it. It begins with our admissions team, who will meet with you and your family (if needed) to assess your situation and create an individualized plan with the help of our intake counselors. Our treatment approach is comprehensive. We take into consideration a variety of factors when assessing clients, including personal history, type of addiction, length of drug or alcohol use, physical and mental health status, and others.
For most people with serious addictions, the recovery journey begins with detoxification. The effects of withdrawal can be crippling and even dangerous. It’s why our trained medical staff carefully oversees clients in detox at BriteLife. Our team monitors clients in detox day and night and administers medications as needed to ensure clients detox safely and comfortably.
Our medical team works in conjunction with our therapists to treat any co-occurring disorders. These include, but are not limited to, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
Throughout your time in residential drug rehab you’ll receive ongoing medical assessments for any co-occurring conditions and will participate in individual and group counseling. We invite and encourage family members to participate in counseling sessions, when appropriate. Addiction is a family disease. Having the support of family members during this critical time can be helpful, and family members often also benefit.
The Hilton Head residential rehab program at BriteLife is designed to provide a safe, welcoming environment where clients can focus on healing, wellness, and sobriety.
