Job Description: A behavioral health technician provides mental health services to patients who struggle with a variety of behavioral problems, including psychiatric disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, substance abuse, and physical and emotional abuse. Behavioral health technicians collaborate with clinicians, doctors and nurses to carry out treatment plans for patients.

Job Summary:

Substance Abuse Therapist/Counselor

JOB SUMMARY
The Therapist is responsible for providing confidential addiction counseling, education and support to individuals, families, and the community. Under the supervision of a Program Director or Clinical Director, the Therapist will provide addiction services including, but not limited to, assessment, group, individual, and family sessions, and other modalities to clients and their families according to demonstrated competence.

Driver


JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for transporting clients to and from the Men's Facility in Ridgeland, SC facility. The ability to follow direction of Behavioral Health Tech Supervisor and safely transport clients in a timely fashion will be imperative in this role. Day-to-day responsibilities may vary.

DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES, & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Safely transport clients to and from doctor appointments, meetings and activities.
  • Ensure all clients are accounted for at all times.
  • Be respectful and caring to clients but must maintain proper boundaries.
  • Inspect assigned vehicle and document mileage on a trip-by-trip basis.
  • Immediately report missing equipment and/or damage to the vehicle or unsafe conditions to the Supervisor.
  • At the end of each shift, leave the vehicle locked and secured at the facility.
  • Responsible for obeying all traffic laws, and for reporting any and all violations at the time of occurrence.
  • Immediately notify appropriate individuals of any accidents.
  • Completes necessary accident reports in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that clients and passengers in the vehicle are wearing their seatbelts prior to operating the vehicle.
  • If a client or a passenger requires immediate emergency resuscitation while in the vehicle or at any other time during the transport, call 911, give the location of the van or area and immediately begin CPR.
  • Under direction of supervising therapist, establish appropriate therapeutic boundaries, utilization of identified clinical resources to review boundaries, limit setting for behavior, and develops therapeutic relations with client.
  • Assists in monitoring the therapeutic activities with patients., assist other team members as needed.

House Manager – All Male Recovery


Primary Purpose:
To maintain a safe, sober living environment while promoting long term abstinence-based sobriety.


Primary Responsibilities include:

  1. New resident orientation and tour
  2. Conduct random and scheduled drug screens and breathalyzers
  3. Facilitate weekly house meetings to address issues, resident concerns etc.
  4. Assign chores and household tasks
  5. Introduce residents to community meetings including but not limited to AA, NA, Smart, Refuge and Celebrate Recovery
  6. Be culturally aware and possess the sensitivities to create a welcoming, inclusive, and equitable environment for a diverse range of clientele.
  7. Manage all day-to-day operations...scheduling appointments, meetings, job interviews and coordinate and or provide transportation for residents.
  8. Organize extracurricular activities to promote a sense of community among residents
  9. Keep a daily log of resident activities and report to supervisor on a regular basis
  10. Maintain communication with supervisor via email and telephone contact to ensure a healthy environment and quality control measures
  11. Have knowledge of and ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel
  12. Monitor all household appliances, smoke alarms and plumbing for potential wear/damage, promptly reporting any issues via work order or telephone contact with Plant Operations staff using their protocols for repairs

Preferred Qualifications:

  2. Familiar and fluent in 12 step recovery programs.

Housekeeper


The housekeeper will be responsible for cleaning rooms and common areas, disposing of trash, changing beds, and notifying maintenance of any issues. You should be able to lift 25 pounds and have an eye for cleanliness.

Maintenance Technician


Job Description:

Performs variety of skilled duties in building trades, such as painting, carpentry, minor electrical and plumbing, or other recognized crafts for the purpose of maintaining, repairing and up-keeping the facility.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists and performs semiskilled tasks of a general nature in connection with maintenance, repair and construction tasks in the upkeep of the building
  • Assists and performs with installation, maintenance, repair and construction work in the basic building maintenance trades, such as carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, locksmith, carpet, and mechanics
  • Assists and performs functions in the construction, installation and maintenance of roofs, furniture, fences, cabinets, shelving, marker boards/chalkboards, tack boards and a variety of other structures and items
  • Prepares and paints walls and woodwork or performs other types of refinish; installs or repairs carpet and other flooring; performs custodial duties as required

Qualifications:

  • Two years maintenance experience (preferred)

Job Description:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists and performs semiskilled tasks of a general nature in connection with maintenance, repair and construction tasks in the upkeep of the building

Medical Director – Addiction Treatment/Substance Use Disorder


We are working with a Full Continuum, Evidenced Based, Residential Substance Abuse Facility that is in search of an Addiction Medical Director to join their team.

Job Description:

The Medical Director is responsible for providing medical services to program participants within the facility and providing medical supervision and support to full-time and part-time providers delivering care in the various levels of care. The Medical Director will work in tandem with the Executive Director and Clinical Director to ensure/promote appropriate service provision, and will conduct medical exams, assess, and manage withdrawal symptoms, and provide histories and physicals. The Medical Director will consult with counselors, attend treatment teams, and contribute to development of treatment plans as part of an active multi-disciplinary team. In addition, the Medical Director will provide medical consultation services to medical, nursing, and clinical staff in the facility settings as indicated. Medical Director Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Providing administrative oversight of the facility’s medical services;
  • Assisting in the development and maintenance of written objectives, policies, a procedure manual, an organization plan and a quality assurance program for medical services, and review of all medical policies and procedures at least annually. Such documentation shall be shared with the facility’s physician, the director of nursing services, and other appropriate medical staff on an ongoing basis or as revisions are made.
  • In conjunction with the administrator and the governing authority of the substance use disorders treatment facility, planning and budgeting for medical services.
  • Ensuring that medical services are coordinated and integrated with other client care services to ensure continuity of care for each client.
  • Ensuring that the facility complies with required medical staffing patterns set forth in the SC state regulations.
  • Assisting in the development of written job descriptions for the medical staff, reviewing of credentials, participating in hiring medical staff, delineating privileges of medical staff and assigning duties of the medical staff.
  • Approving the content and location of emergency kits or carts; medications, including controlled substances; use of over-the-counter floor stock medications maintained on a list at the facility; and the amounts that may be and are stored throughout the facility, equipment and supplies, the expiration dates of medically related time-sensitive items, the frequency with which these items are reviewed for appropriateness and completeness and assigning qualified staff to perform these reviews.
  • Reviewing any physical examination reports and medical screening results conducted off-site of a client for the pre-admissions process or for other medical concerns, in order to ensure that the client’s medical needs are considered and addressed in the development of the treatment plan and throughout treatment.
  • Providing supervision of the facility’s physician(s) and nurse practitioners.
  • The medical director is required to be on-site as often as necessary in order to perform the responsibilities of the position.
  • Positively promoting BriteLife Recovery to prospective clients and employees.
  • Planning and supervising provision of treatment for patients (including regular review and notes in the patient’s record) according to established state guidelines with a strong emphasis on quality & customer service.

Nurse Practitioner


The nurse practitioner is responsible for assisting the Medical Director in the providing medical care and promoting a safe environment for patients who are detoxifying from substance dependency. The nurse practitioner will assist in directing, provision, and quality of medical services to clients.

DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES, & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Qualified individuals must have the ability (with or without reasonable accommodations) to perform the following duties:

  • Participating in team conference with multidisciplinary team
  • Providing required documentation in the patient’s records in a timely fashion
  • Performing efficiently in emergency patient situations following established protocols, remaining calm, informing appropriate personnel, and documenting events

Women’s Inpatient Substance Use Counselor – Licensed Preferred


You will have the unique opportunity to provide counseling to women in our new Women’s Residential Unit. This unit is located in serene Bluffton, SC and provides women a safe please to begin their recovery journey. The Therapist at this site is responsible for providing confidential addiction counseling, education and support to women, and their families. Under the supervision the Clinical Director, the Therapist will provide addiction services tailored to the needs of women that will include but are not limited Seeking Safety, the latest curriculum from Stephanie Covington, yoga, and mindfulness training. These services will be provided through the following modalities: assessment, group, individual, and family sessions.
